Coleman is a Lancashire native. She attended Arnold School Blackpool, where she was able to get straight As in A-levels. Coleman regrets not having get a normal university education when discussing her experience at Emmerdale. When she was at school, Coleman was a member of the theatre group In Yer Space with whom she was a part of the Edinburgh Festival in the play Crystal Clear. She was awarded an award for her performance and the production was also received favourably. When she was auditioning for drama schools, Coleman got the role in the role of Jasmine Thomas in Emmerdale in 2005. Coleman received two awards in 2007. She was named as the Best Newcomer of 2007 at British Soap Awards and Most Popular Newcomer at the National Television Awards. The British Soap Awards 2009 nominated Coleman for both categories: Best Actress - Sexiest Feminine as well as the Best Dramatic Performance category. Coleman was awarded a Television Choice Award nomination for Best Actress. Steven Moffat of Doctor Who made it clear at a press conference held on the 21st March 2012 that Coleman was to be replacing Karen Gillan after she and Arthur Darvill had left. Moffat chose her for the role because she is the most successful with Smith and could speak more rapidly than him. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. She has been active in the field for more than 30 years and is involved with numerous film and TV projects. She is however, more popular for her television projects rather as opposed to films. Eva is well-known for her work in the role of the character Dr. Maria Santos on All My Children and detective Natalia Boa Vistas in CSI Miami. She was nominated for 2 "Daytime Emmys" for her first part, and she also had the opportunity to express the musical side of her. Eva is also a philanthropist, entrepreneur and an philanthropist. She has been married thrice and also has a daughter with her first husband.
